-------------------------------------------

Our fourth PANIC of 2019 brings us a true hero of the Techno scene, Mr.C aka Richard West. His influence on the Acid House explosion in the eighties was magnetic and as the front man for the The Shamen he was able to reach a global audience that in turn catapaulted him into his greatest creation, 'The End' nightclub based in London. One of the true creators of Tech-House, his 'Killer Loop' track (with Layo), 'The Blue Hour' layed out the blue print for the genre. We cannot wait to hear him and we quote... 'Smash the Granny' out of our pulsating Turbo Rig. His unbridled enthusiasm for people and the scene he helped create is a testament to the person he is. We're very excited for his PANIC debut.

LINUS is the man behind PANIC and a 30 year veteran of the electronic music scene. He started off in the Mid-West Rave scene in the early nineties and then moved to London, New York, Barcelona, Vancouver, Tokyo and his home for the last 8 years, Los Angeles. His 'Slynus' record series encompassed 7 releases, sold over 50,000 vinyl records and were played and charted by many word renowned dj's including, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills and Danny Tenaglia DJ.

Bellhop and Armando Kroma continue to be a vibrant and positive presence in the Los Angeles music scene. A Terrakroma crowd is open minded, comes to play and is ready to dance.

Modus' vibe is versatile in nature but his sounds are united by one singular aim: energy and dance. Modus’ production and collaborative efforts have since proved fundamental in pushing him through as both an artist and DJ. We look forward to hearing his PANIC debut.

Gil Tamazyan is a veteran of the Los Angeles music scene. He runs a vinyl pressing plant, a sublime studio and has the largest Pizza oven we have ever seen. He'll be bringing his well rounded platters to our courtyard fueled by copious amounts of pounded dough. He is the moulinex of the decks.

Mojave is an amazing addition to the PANIC family. Her stellar reputation in Los Angeles is well deserved. She brings a subtlety to her Techno that other DJ's can't help but admire.

ZAYA aka Timothy Smith is fresh off his inaugural day time party, Fire Oasis which was a great success. His music is matched by his sunny disposition and positive outlook on life.

Linus' DJ career started in Muncie, Indidana. He played at raves all over the Mid-West from 1992 - 1994. In 1995 he moved back to London and started a record label, had a residency at the Paradise with Howie B., opened a record shop called, Vinyl Addiction and was a regular DJ for the infamous sound collective, Sancho Panza.

In 1998 Linus created his Slynus alter ego and his tunes of looped up, hypnotic techno went on to be played by many of the top techno dj's at that time, including Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Lee Burridge, Danny Tenaglia and Laurent Garnier. Carl Cox made Linus' first release, 'The Shifter' his tune of the month and played it to over 200,000 people at the Love Parade in Berlin.

Linus went on to remix George Michael, Love Tattoo, Spandau Ballet, Axe Corner, Trigger and many more. His Slynus remixes and singles have sold over in excess of 50,000 vinyl records. In 1999, Mixmag named Linus as 'One to Watch'. The first release in the Slynus series was played for five consecutive weeks on Pete Tong’s legendary BBC Radio One show, the Essential Mix.

Nice things people have said about his Slynus records.

‘It’s a hot jam’
- Jeff Mills- (Slynus - The Shifter)
‘Picture your most twisted dancefloor moment. Your brain is engulfed in bassline filth. Your mates fear for you, then a vocal peeps in, turns gurns into smiles and sends the dancefloor into raptures.’
- Mixmag - (Slynus - Son of a Monk)
‘I was playing one of your tracks the other day and it was really cool and really weird’.
- Richie Hawtin - (Slynus III)
‘I played it in Argentina and the place went nuts’
- Lee Burridge - (Slynus II)
‘I made it my tune of the month’
- Carl Cox - (Slynus - The Shifter)

Linus is now based in Los Angeles and made an album with Amy White called 'The Black Below' and 'The Black Below - Remixed' featuring remixes by Howie B, Terry Francis, Alexi Delano, Mononoid, Jem Stone, Joseph S Joyce, Pete Bones, Tunnel, Alison Marks, Russ Gabriel, and Mike Bryant aka A New Low.
